As you might remember from the first playthrough, you could not go to Duscae and Cleigne at first. You can’t fast travel to an undiscovered area. With the POIs gone, the parking and other fast travel points are gone as well. This means that each POI you’ve discovered is now hidden, waiting to be found again. When you start New Game +, the map resets. There are a couple of things – some of them are not that big of a deal, but others can be a bit of a pain. With all these things remaining the same, you might wonder what will be different. All previously found items, like treasures, key items…. The Type-F Flying Regalia remains locked. 
Almost all Regalia customization choices. Each character’s outfits, even the Kingly Raiment. Every photo, info on caught fish and cooking recipe. All of each character’s unlocked skills. Unfortunately, New Game+ does not offer any additional difficulty levels beyond Easy and Normal. 
The upgraded Engine Blade (Ultima Blade), however, will go back to its original version and the Regalia returns to its stock state should you have transformed it to the airship model. The things carried over seem to be items, costumes and settings, weapons, levels and Ascension skills.

Note that by starting New Game+ you’ll need to manually create a new save. Bonus content includes the new photo frame feature where players can choose from a variety of themed photo frames that can be applied to Prompto’s many photographs. The patch itself weighs in around 3.2GB and offers various bug fixes, New Game+ mode that allows players to carry over certain data from a previous playthrough and additional bonus content. Square Enix has just dropped a new version update to Final Fantasy XV, featuring a few free bonuses ahead of the game’s Holiday Pack due out on December 22.
